Youth Basketball
The youth program is designed to teach passing, dribbling, shooting, agility, hand-eye coordination and
teamwork. The emphasis of this program is on basic skill development, good sportsmanship and positive
attitudes. Teams are divided by the following age and grade levels: 4 year olds and 5 year olds, Kindergarten
& 1st grades, 2nd & 3rd grades and 4th & 5th grades. We may have to place K-2nd and 3rd-5th grade together
depending on how many kids sign up. Teams will meet during the week for a practice. Games will be held at
the Y on Saturdays.
Pre-school clinics will last for one hour on Saturdays at 9:00 am. Teams will be
coached by volunteer parents so if you are interested please let us know. We will need
volunteers. |

| When: |
Games will be held on Saturdays from November 8th-December 20th. There will not be a game or practices the
week of November 17th. The schedule will be finalized once registration is complete and the number of teams
has been established. Meet your coach day will be Saturday November 1, 2008. You will receive your
practice times and game times during this meeting. It is very important that you come on that day.
Picture day will be on November 15, 2008.

Financial assistance is available for those who can demonstrate need. Apply before October 6, 2008. It takes 3 weeks to
