The Family Y is your number one resource in Terre Haute Indiana, providing youth and adults the opportunity for swim lessons, water exercise programs for all skill levels, lifeguard training, CPR and more! Class Descriptions

Each session is by calendar month, and will be on-going through out the year. Parents will pay at the beginning of each month for the class that best fits their child’s ability.

Crush & Squirt Swim
Ages 6 months until 3 years. Parents attend this class with their child. They will work on floating, kicking, and getting used to the water. They will also sing songs in the water.

Nemo Swim
Ages 3 to 5 years old. All participants will do class without a parent. They will work on kicking, swimming with a noodle, floating on back and stomach, jumping into the water, glides, and putting their face in the water. All these will be done with assistance.

Dory Swim
Ages 6 and up. Same as Nemo swim with less assistance.

Marlin and Coral Swim
High school and up. This class will work on stroke development and building endurance. This will be done in shallow and deep water according to the ability of the participant.

Pool Information
   The Terre Haute Family Y has a 25 yard, 5 lane-lap pool that has depths ranging from 3.5ft – 6ft. There are steps, built in ladders and a chair lift to accommodate everyone
